Mouse MMP-12, recombinant (C-6His)

Recombinant Mouse Matrix Metalloproteinase 12 is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Ala29-Cys473 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus.The proenzyme needs to be activated by APMA for an activated form. Protein function: May be involved in tissue injury and remodeling. Has significant elastolytic activity. Can accept large and small amino acids at the P1' site, but has a preference for leucine. Aromatic or hydrophobic residues are preferred at the P1 site, with small hydrophobic residues (preferably alanine) occupying P3. [The UniProt Consortium]
