Product information "MASA, aa1-261, Recombinant, Human (Enolase Phosohatase E1, ENOPH1, 2,3-diketo-5-methylthio-1-phospho"
Enolase-phosphatase E1, also known as ENOPH1, is a member of the MasA family of the HAD (halo-acid dehalogenase)-like hydrolase superfamily. ENOPH1 is a bifunctional enzyme, exhibiting both phosphatase and atypical enolase activities. ENOPH1 plays an important role in the ubiquitous methionine salvage pathway, a biochemical pathway found in all organisms that regulate methionine levels in the cell. Source: Recombinant corresponding to human ENOPH1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~31kD, Sequences of Amino Acids: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MVVLSVPAEV TVILLDIEGT TTPIAFVKDI LFPYIEENVK EYLQTHWEEE ECQQDVSLLR KQAEEDAHLD GAVPIPAASG NGVDDLQQMI QAVVDNVCWQ MSLDRKTTAL KQLQGHMWRA AFTAGRMKAE FFADVVPAVR KWREAGMKVY IYSSGSVEAQ KLLFGHSTEG DILELVDGHF DTKIGHKVES ESYRKIADSI GCSTNNILFL TDVTREASAA EEADVHVAVV VRPGNAGLTD DEKTYYSLIT SFSELYLPSS T, Enzyme Activity: Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
