Product information "Interleukin-23 receptor (IL23R), partial (Active), human, recombinant"
Organism: Homo sapiens (Human). Source: Mammalian cell. Expression Region: 24-353aa. Protein Length: Partial. Tag Info: C-terminal Fc-tagged. Target Protein Sequence: GITNINCSGH IWVEPATIFK MGMNISIYCQ AAIKNCQPRK LHFYKNGIKE RFQITRINKT TARLWYKNFL EPHASMYCTA ECPKHFQETL ICGKDISSGY PPDIPDEVTC VIYEYSGNMT CTWNAGKLTY IDTKYVVHVK SLETEEEQQY LTSSYINIST DSLQGGKKYL VWVQAANALG MEESKQLQIH LDDIVIPSAA VISRAETINA TVPKTIIYWD SQTTIEKVSC EMRYKATTNQ TWNVKEFDTN FTYVQQSEFY LEPNIKYVFQ VRCQETGKRY WQPWSSLFFH KTPETVPQVT SKAFQHDTWN SGLTVASIST GHLTSDNRGD. Purity: Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin: Less than 1.0 EU/µg as determined by LAL method. Biological Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human IL-23R-Fc at 10µg/ml can bind Human IL-23-His, the ED50 of Human IL-23-His is 0.248 ug/ml. Form: Lyophilized powder. Buffer: Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered 1xPBS, pH 7.4. Reconstitution: We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20 °C/-80 °C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference. Storage: The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. Notes: Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4 °C for up to one week. Relevance: Interleukin 23 receptor (IL23R) is a type I cytokine receptor for IL23. IL23 receptor complex is comprised of two subunits, the IL12Rbeta1 subunit, which is shared with several cytokines, and a subunit that is unique to IL-23. IL23, after binding to IL23R, activates memory T cells and mediates pro-inflammatory activities in part by the production of IL17 through activation of TH17 lymphocytes. IL23R is expressed on T cells, NK cells, dendritic cells, and macrophages. In fact, polymorphisms of the IL23R gene were reported to be associated with susceptibility to inflammatory diseases and autoimmune diseases such as psoriasis, multiple sclerosis, Graves's ophtalmopathy and inflammatory bowel diseases. The IL23R is known to be critically involved in the carcinogenesis of different malignant tumor. Reference: n/a. Function: Associates with IL12RB1 to form the interleukin-23 receptor. Binds IL23 and mediates T-cells, NK cells and possibly certain macrophage/myeloid cells stimulation probably through activation of the Jak-Stat signaling cascade. IL23 functions in innate and adaptive immunity and may participate in acute response to infection in peripheral tissues. IL23 may be responsible for autoimmune inflammatory diseases and be important for tumorigenesis.
