Recombinant Human Matrix Metalloproteinase-3 is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Tyr18-Cys477 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus.The proenzyme needs to be activated by Chymotrypsin for an activated form. Protein function: Can degrade fibronectin, laminin, gelatins of type I, III, IV, and V, collagens III, IV, X, and IX, and cartilage proteoglycans. Activates procollagenase. [The UniProt Consortium]
