Product information "GO-BSA"
Advanced glycation end products (AGEs) are formed from the nonenzymatic reaction of amino groups with reducing sugars. AGEs have been implicated in diseases, such as diabetes mellitus, non-diabetic nephropathy, macrovascular disease, Alzheimer's disease, cataract, and ageing. AGE receptors, such as the receptor for AGE (RAGE), mediate biological responses to AGEs, including endocytic uptake and degradation and induction of cytokines and growth factors. GO-BSA was produced by incubating BSA with glyoxal, followed by extensive dialysis.Synonyms: Glyoxal BSA, Glyoxal-Bovine Serum Albumin, GO-Bovine Serum Albumin. Source: Albumin isolated from bovine plasma and modified with glyoxal. MW: 69.3 kDa. Formulation: (Request formulation change), Lyophilized from a solution in PBS, pH 7.4, at 0.2 mg per vial. Reconstitution in 0.2 ml of water will yield 1 mg/ml solution in 1X PBS.
