Product information "EphB2, Recombinant, Human, N-terminal His tag (Ephrin B2)"
Ephrins and Eph receptors have been implicated in many developmental processes including neuronal network formation, guidance of cell migration, and axonal pathfinding. They remain expressed at lower levels in adult tissues and are upregulated in pathological conditions such as cancer. EphB4 is expressed in epithelial cells and in endothelial cells of embryonic veins, where its signaling mediates cell migration and proliferation via the PI3K pathway. It is upregulated in several types of tumors, including mammary tumors, colon cancer, and endometrial cancer. EphB4 has previously been designated Htk, Myk1, Tyro11 and Mdk2. Human EPHB2 (GenBank Accession No. NM_004442), (a.a. 569-end) , Specific Activity:, ~ 20pmol/min/ug, Assay Buffer: 50mM HEPES, pH 7.5, 10mM MgCl2, 1mM EGTA, 200uM ATP, 0.01% Brij-35, 2uM substrate. Applications: Suitable for use in the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling. Other applications have not been tested. , Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months.
