The 20kD fragment of Collagen XVIII known as Endostatin protein inhibits tumor progression and induction of endothelial cell apoptosis. Administration of Endostatin protein to mice bearing certain tumors caused tumor regression without the development of drug resistance. Endostatin protein also inhibited systemic angiogenesis, primary tumor growth, and the development of primary metastatic lesions. It also reduced the levels of antiapoptotic proteins Bcl-2 and Bcl-XL and an increase in apoptosis of endothelial cells. in vitro. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Not suitable for ELISA or other applications where native protein is required. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: Heat once and load 10ul/lane. Visualize with appropriate antibodies. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: For long-term storage, alquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
