Product Description: The poly(A) tail plays important roles in the function of mRNA. For one, it improves the stability of the mRNA and protects mRNA from RNA-cutting nucleases, In addition, the Polypoly(A) tail can also enhances enhance translation efficiency. E.coli Poly(A) Polymerase catalyzes the addition of AMP from ATP to the 3' end of RNA, adding a poly(A) tailing. Expressed in an E.coli strain that carries the E.coli Poly(A) Polymerase gene. Concentration: 5U/UL. Unit Definition: One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will incorporate 1 nmol of AMP into RNA in 10 minutes at 37 °C.
