Diphtheria toxoid is formaldehyde inactivated form of diphtheria toxin (Cay-19657) that is non-specifically cross linked and subject to rearrangement. Formulations containing diphtheria toxoid have been used as adjuvents in vaccines to produce immunity to diphtheria, the disease caused by C. diphtheriae infection.Formulation: (Request formulation change), Each vial, when reconstituted to 0.1 ml with water, contains 500 µg of diphtheria toxoid in 0.01 M sodium phosphate, pH 7.5, containing 0.1 mg/ml sorbitol.
