Product information "DCXR, aa1-244, Recombinant, Human (Carbonyl reductase II, DCR, Dicarbonyl/L-xylulose reductase, HCR2"
Dicarbonyl/L-xylulose reductase, also known as DCXR, is an enzyme responsible for the metabolism of xylulose, converting it into xylitol. DCXR was expressed at low levels and was localized predominantly in the cytoplasmic membrane. In contrast, in virtually all grades of early-stage prostate cancer and in all chemohormonally treated cases, DCXR was strikingly overexpressed and was localized predominantly in the cytoplasm and nucleus. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-244 of human DCXR 6x his tagged expressed in E.coli. AA Sequences: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MELFLAGRRV LVTGAGKGIG RGTVQALHAT GARVVAVSRT QADLDSLVRE CPGIEPVCVD LGDWEATERA LGSVGPVDLL VNNAAVALLQ PFLEVTKEAF DRSFEVNLRA VIQVSQIVAR GLIARGVPGA IVNVSSQCSQ RAVTNHSVYC STKGALDMLT, KVMALELGPH KIRVNAVNPT VVMTSMGQAT WSDPHKAKTM LNRIPLGKFA EVEHVVNAIL FLLSDRSGMT TGSTLPVEGG FWAC, Enzyme Activity: Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
