Recombinant Cynomolgus Integrin alpha 2 beta 1 (ITGA2&ITGB1) Heterodimer Protein is expressed from HEK293 with His tag at the C-terminus.It contains Tyr30-Pro1130 (ITGA2) acidic tail and Gln161-Asp868 (ITGB1) basic tail. The alpha2beta1 integrin, also known as VLA-2, GPIa-IIa, CD49b, was first identified as an extracellular matrix receptor for collagens and/or laminins. It is now recognized that the alpha2beta1 integrin serves as a receptor for many matrix and nonmatrix molecules. It plays a critical role in platelet function and homeostasis.
