Cellulase is an enzyme complex useful for the isolation of plant protoplasts, biomass conversion, carbohydrate research, liquid food clarification and cell dissociation. Trichoderma reesei converts cellulose to glucose via multi-enzymatic hydrolysis of beta-glucans, xylans and hemicellulosic polymers. Activity: >45u/mg dw, Absorbance (A280, mg/ml): As reported, Lipase: As reported , Nuclease: None Detected, Protease: None Detected, Unit Definition: 1 unit releases 0.01mg of glucose per hour from microcrystalline cellulose at 37°C, pH 5.0.
