Plant Sterols Kit

Plant sterols are cell membrane lipids that are found as free sterols, sterol esters, sterol glycosides, and acylsterol glycosides. They are precursors of the brassinosteroid family of plant growth regulators and have roles in transmembrane signal transduction and cell proliferation and differentiation. Plant Sterols Kit contains the following seven individually packaged plant sterols: beta-sitosterol, desmosterol, lanosterol, stigmasterol, ergosterol, coprostanol, and cholestanol, as well as three mixtures: steryl glucosides, esterified steryl glucosides, and plant sterol mixture. Steryl glucosides is a mixture of non-esterified beta-sitosterol glucoside, beta-campesteryl glucoside, beta-stigmasteryl glucoside, and beta-Delta-5-avenosteryl glucoside. Esterified steryl glucosides contains esterified forms of beta-sitosterol glucoside, beta-campesteryl glucoside, and beta-stigmasteryl glucoside. Plant sterol mixture contains brassicasterol (14%), campesterol (28%), stigmasterol (12%), and beta-sitosterol (43%).
