Glycodeoxycholic Acid (CRM)

Glycodeoxycholic acid (CRM) (Cay45113) is a certified reference material categorized as a bile acid conjugate. It is a glycine-conjugated form of the secondary bile acid deoxycholic acid (Cay18231, Cay20756). Glycodeoxycholic acid serum levels are increased in cystic fibrosis patients with non-cirrhotic liver disease compared to cystic fibrosis patients without non-cirrhotic liver disease. Serum levels of glycodeoxycholic acid are elevated in non-surviving patients with acetaminophen-induced acute liver failure (AALF) compared with survivors.
