Radiclonic acid is a diterpene that has been found in Talaromyces species and has diverse biological activities. It is active against methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA. MIC = 3. µg/ml). Radiclonic acid is cytotoxic to BIU-87 bladder, Eca-109 esophageal, and BEL-7402 liver cancer cells (IC50s = 12. 7. and 13. µM, respectively). It stimulates root growth in Chinese cabbage and rice seedlings.
