Prostaglandin H1 (PGH1) is the unstable precursor to all 1-series PGs and thromboxanes. It is produced from dihomo-gamma-linolenic acid (DGLA, Cay-90230) by COX-1 and COX-2. PGH1 is an agonist of the PGD2 receptor CRTH2. It increases intracellular calcium levels in HEK293 cells expressing CRTH2 when used at a concentration of 3 µM and induces CRTH2 internalization at 1 µM, an effect that can be blocked by the CRTH2 antagonist TM30089 (CAY10471, Cay-10006735). PGH1 is also a suicide inhibitor of platelet thromboxane synthase (Ki = 28 µM).Formal Name: 9alpha,11alpha-epidioxy-15S-hydroxy-prost-13E-en-1-oic acid. CAS Number: 52589-22-7. Synonyms: PGH1, PGR1, Prostaglandin R1. Molecular Formula: C20H34O5. Formula Weight: 354.5. Purity: >95%. Formulation: (Request formulation change), A solution in acetone. Solubility: Ethanol: >100 mg/ml, PBS pH 7.2: >2 mg/ml. SMILES: CCCCC[C@H](O)/C=C/[C@H]1[C@@H]2OO[C@@H](C2)[C@H]1CCCCCCC(O)=O.
