alpha-Cortolone

alpha-Cortolone is a metabolite of the glucocorticoid cortisol (hydrocortisone, Cay-20739). It is formed from cortisol by 20alpha-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (20alpha-HSD) via a tetrahydrocortisone (THE, Cay-34344) intermediate.
