7alpha-hydroxy Dehydroepiandrosterone (7alpha-hydroxy DHEA) is an active metabolite of the endogenous steroid hormone dehydroepiandrosterone (Cay-15728). 7alpha-hydroxy DHEA is formed from dehydroepiandrosterone via 7-hydroxylation by cytochrome P450s (CYPs).
