Molecular weight: ~1250. Excitation (nm): 553. Emission (nm): 568. Extinction coefficient (cm-1 M-1): 155000. Quantum yield: 0.1. XFD555 is manufactured by AAT Bioquest, and it has the same chemical structure of Alexa Fluor(R) 555 (Alexa Fluor(R) is the trademark of ThermoFisher). It is a bright red fluorescent dye. XFD555 dye is water soluble and pH-insensitive from pH 4 to pH 10. The NHS ester (or succinimidyl ester) of XFD555 is the most convenient amine-reactive form for conjugating this dye to a protein or antibody.
