Molecular weight: 1159.60. Excitation (nm): 561. Emission (nm): 572. Extinction coefficient (cm-1 M-1): 112000. Quantum yield: 0.79. Correction factor (280 nm): 0.12. XFD546 is manufactured by AAT Bioquest, and it has the same chemical structure of Alexa Fluor(R) 546 (Alexa Fluor(R) is the trademark of ThermoFisher). XFD546 NHS Ester (Succinimidyl Ester) has the same molecule as the Alexa Fluor(R) 546 NHS Ester. It is a bright orange-fluorescent dye optimal for use with the frequency-doubled Nd:YAG laser line. XFD546 dye is water soluble and pH-insensitive from pH 4 to pH 10. The NHS ester (or succinimidyl ester) of XFD546 is the most convenient amine-reactive form for conjugating this dye to a protein or antibody.
