Product information "XFD 514 NHS ester"
Molecular weight: 916.07. Excitation (nm): 518. Emission (nm): 543. Extinction coefficient (cm-1 M-1): 80000. Correction factor (260 nm): 0.31. XFD514 NHS ester is manufactured by AAT Bioquest, and it has the same chemical structure to Alexa Fluor(R) 514 NHS ester (Alexa Fluor(R) is the trademark of ThermoFisher). It is a bright yellow-fluorescent dye that can be used to replace rhodamine 6G with dramatically improved water solubility. XFD514 dye is water soluble and pH-insensitive from pH 4 to pH 10. The NHS ester (or succinimidyl ester) of XFD514 is the most convenient amine-reactive form for conjugating Alexa Fluor(R) 514 to a protein or antibody.
