UGO 488 is a new hydrophilic fluorescent label with outstanding water solubility. The dye features strong absorption, high fluorescence quantum yield, and exceptional thermal and photostability. This makes UGO 488 highly suitable for single-molecule detection and high-resolution microscopy techniques such as SIM and STED. Additionally, the dye is well-suited for applications in flow cytometry (FACS), fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), and more. Its fluorescence is most efficiently excited within the 480-515 nm range, with the 488 nm line of the Argon-Ion laser being an ideal excitation source. Chemical Properties Storage Upon receipt, store at -20°C in the dark. Protect from light and moisture. When stored as indicated, UGO NHS-esters are stable for at least 3 years.
