This product is Arachis hypogaea (peanut) PNA lectin labeled with Biotium's superior CF(R)640R dye. Lectin PNA is specific for terminal beta-galactose and binds preferentially to a commonly occurring structure, galactosyl (beta-1,3) N-acetylgalactosamine. CF(R) dyes are Biotium's line of next-generation fluorescent dyes with advantages in brightness, photostability, and conjugate specificity compared to other fluorescent dyes. Far-red fluorescent CF(R)640R dye has excitation/emission at 642/662 nm.
