Dyes and Labeling Reagents

This category comprises chemicals for permanent and temporary labeling of organelles, proteins, and other molecules. For example, this includes the covalent linkage of a target protein, such as an antibody, with a fluorescent dye/fluorophore, allowing detection of the target protein in microscopic experiments. For the purpose of detection, proteins can also be coupled with reporter enzymes (e.g. HRP) or radioactive isotopes. To facilitate the purification of a target protein, biotinylation followed by streptavidine affinity binding has proven to be effective.

SMCC Activated APC
SMCC Activated APC

Item number: E-FN-S103.1

SMCC-APC is treated with SMCC under conditions that result in only 1~4 moles SMCC on one mole of phycobiliprotein ensuring the best yield of conjugate with minimal formation of aggregates. This derivative protein has been purified to remove excess SMCC and lyophilized, thus quite suitable for long term storage...

SMCC Activated PerCP
SMCC Activated PerCP

Item number: E-FN-S104.100

PerCP (Peridinin-chlorophyll-protein complex) is isolated from Dinophyceae sp. It has a high quantum efficiency and a large Stokes shift. It is well excited at 488 nm with its maximum emission peak at 677nm. PerCP protein is commonly used for fluorescent immunolabeling, particularly in applications involving...

Cy3 phosphoramidite
Cy3 phosphoramidite

Item number: ABD-6070

Ex: 546 nm. Em: 563 nm. Soluble in: MeCN. Two cyanine derivatives, Cy3 and Cy5 phosphoramidites, are the most popular fluorescent labeling reagents for preparing fluorescence-labeled oligonucleotides. Cyanine dyes are normally added once at the 5'-terminus and the MMT group should be removed on the synthesizer. The...
