7-Chloro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole-4-sulfonamide (ABD-Cl) is nonfluorescent and used as a derivatization reagent for primary and secondary amines, thiols, and other nucleophiles, particularly in HPLC and capillary electrophoresis to enable sensitive fluorescence detection. The fluorescence properties of the analyte has typically excitation near 380-400 nm, emission in the green range.
