VU0542270 is an inhibitor of sulfonylurea receptor 2B (SUR2B) linked to ATP-sensitive potassium channel Kir6. (SUR2B/Kir6.1, IC50 = 0. µM). It is selective for SUR2B/Kir6. over ten other inward-rectifier potassium channels (Kirs, IC50s = >30 µM for all). VU0542270 (10 or 100 µM) induces constriction in isolated mouse ductus arteriosus vessels.. Solulibility: DMSO: Sparingly soluble: 1-10 mg/ml: Ethanol: Slightly soluble: 0.1-1 mg/ml.
