Product information "V5 Tag Nanobody Immunomagnetic Beads"
Description: TargetMol's V5 Tag Nanobody Immunoprecipitation (IP) Magnetic Beads specifically bind to V5-tagged proteins and can be used for the immunoprecipitation of proteins, protein complexes, protein-nucleic acid complexes, and other antigens. This product is suitable for antigen samples derived from cell lysates, cell culture supernatants, serum, ascites, and more. Nanobodies (VHHs) are single-domain antibody fragments derived from the variable region of heavy-chain antibodies found naturally in camelids (e.g., camels, llamas, alpacas). They represent the smallest known naturally occurring functional antibody unit, typically only about 12-15 kDa, which is approximately one-tenth the size of conventional IgG antibodies. Compared with traditional IgGs, nanobodies are smaller in size, exhibit higher affinity, and lack light- and heavy-chain interference. Their compact structure allows closer access to target epitopes with reduced steric hindrance, while also providing stronger binding stability. In addition, they can be eluted under mild conditions, thereby preserving higher biological activity of the samples.
