Ubenimex is an antitumor agent effective against murine syngeneic tumors including mouse colon 26 and C1498 leukemia. It was active against MNNG-induced rat tumor by oral administration. It inhibits leucine aminopeptidase and aminopeptidase B in cell membrane. It was found to modulate PKCin K562 cells and induce apoptosis.
