SPHINX

SPHINX is an inhibitor of serine/arginine-rich protein kinase 1 (SRPK1, IC50 = 0. µM). It is selective for SRPK1 over SRPK2 (IC50 = >10 µM). SPHINX (10 µM) inhibits EGF-induced increases in phosphorylation of serine/arginine-rich splicing factor 1 (SRSF1) in ARPE-19 retinal epithelial cells. It decreases lesion area and choroidal neovascularization in mouse eyes in a model of laser-induced photocoagulation when administered at a dose of 25 ng/eye. SPHINX reduces tumor growth in a PC3 prostate cancer mouse xenograft model.. Solulibility: DMSO: Sparingly soluble: 1-10 mg/ml: Ethanol: Sparingly soluble: 1-10 mg/ml.
