Moricizine (hydrochloride)

A class I antiarrhythmic agent, induces both tonic and phasic blocks of sodium currents in isolated guinea pig atrial myocytes at 30 µM, induces a tonic block of sodium currents in isolated guinea pig ventricular myocytes at 1 and 10 µM, reduces spontaneous arrhythmias occurring 24 hours after LAD coronary artery ligation in dogs as a model of myocardial infarction at 1-3 mg/kg, reduces arrhythmias occurring 2-5 days after LAD coronary ligation in dogs as a model of myocardial infarction.
