Isomaltose

Isomaltose is a glucose disaccharide with an alpha-(1->6) linkage, as opposed to the alpha-(1->4) linkage found in maltose. It can be liberated from dextran by dextranase and is hydrolyzed to D-glucose by isomaltase through an alpha-D-glucosidase-type action.
