Ipronidazole-d3 is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of ipronidazole (Cay-35082) by GC- or LC-MS. Ipronidazole is a nitroimidazole antiprotozoal agent. Dietary administration of ipronidazole (0.00312-0.0094% w/w) reduces H. meleagridis-induced mortality in young turkeys. It also induces 100% disease clearance in bulls infected with T. foetus when administered at a dose of 60 g/animal.
