Product information "Diazepam NHS ester"
Diazepam NHS ester is a chemically activated derivative of diazepam incorporating an N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester functional group for targeted bioconjugation. The NHS ester reacts selectively with primary amines under physiological to slightly basic conditions (pH 7.0-8.5), enabling the formation of stable amide bonds with proteins, peptides, and other amine-containing biomolecules. The diazepam scaffold remains intact, preserving its affinity for GABA_A receptors and related pharmacological targets. This reagent is well-suited for the development of diazepam-functionalized affinity ligands, targeted delivery systems, and molecular probes for receptor-binding assays and imaging applications. Its compatibility with aqueous systems and high coupling efficiency make Diazepam NHS ester a useful tool in neuropharmacological research, investigating benzodiazepine mechanisms, receptor-ligand interaction studies, and the development of functionalized delivery platforms or diagnostic probes.
