Capsazepine

Description: Capsazepine is an antagonist of TRPV1 receptor ( IC50 : 562 nM). Capsazepine blocks the painful sensation of heat caused by capsaicin (the active ingredient of chilli pepper) which activates the TRPV1 ion channel.
