Product information "Biotin-16-UTP"
Bio-16-UTP is a biotinylated form of UTP that serves as a substrate for in vitro transcription reactions, compatible with various RNA polymerases such as T7, SP6, and T3 RNA polymerases. It enables the synthesis of biotinylated RNA probes, which can replace radioactively labeled RNA probes in applications like in situ hybridization and chromosome mapping. Detection of Bio-16-UTP relies on streptavidin binding, which can be achieved through direct methods using fluorescently labeled streptavidin or indirect methods employing streptavidin-conjugated enzyme assays or labeled anti-streptavidin antibodies. Chemical Properties Storage Upon receipt, store at -20°C in the dark. Protect from light and moisture. When stored as indicated, Biotin-16-UTP is stable for at least 1 year.
