(+)-alpha-Tocopherol Acetate

(+)-alpha-Tocopherol acetate is an acetate form of (+)-alpha-tocopherol, a natural form of vitamin E. It reduces liver necrosis and increases survival in male rats in a model of hepatotoxicity induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) when administered at a dose of 450 mg/kg three times at 72, 48, and 24 hours before CCl4 administration.
