Specific irreversible inhibitor of serine proteases such as thrombin, plasmin, kallikrein, chymotrypsin and trypsin. It is a non-toxic alternative to PMSF or DFP. AEBSF offers lower toxicity, improved solubility in water and improved stability in aqueous solutions. AEBSF has been used in cell culture in concentrations of up to 0.25mM. Appearance: Supplied as a white to off-white powder. Purity: >98% (1H NMR) , Solubility: Colorless, clear, complete in water. , H2O: soluble, 50mg/ml (stable for up to six months if stored refrigerated at a pH of less than 7. If a pH of greater than 7 is required, pH adjustment should be made just prior to use.), Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C Stable for 12 months after receipt. Light and moisture sensitive.
