Tunicamycin (Streptomyces Iysosuperficus)

Tunicamycin is a mixture of homologuous nucleoside antibiotics. It is useful in glycoprotein research. It is an inhibitor of N-linked glycosylation and the formation of N-glycosidic protein-carbohydrate linkages. It causes the arrest cell cycle in late G1. Melting Point: As Reported, , Solubility: , Soluble in DMSO and ethanol. Colorless, clear, complete (50mg/ml in DMSO, 5mg/ml in methanol). Storage and Stability: Powder may be stored at -20°C.
