Flucloxacillin (sodium salt)

Flucloxacillin is a beta-lactam antibiotic. It is active against clinical isolates of S. aureus (MICs = 0.12-0.25 mg/L). Flucloxacillin (42.3 mg/kg every six hours) decreases vegetation titers in a rat model of aortic valve endocarditis induced by S. aureus.
