Configuration-specific monoclonal antibody that recognizes Rap1-GTP, but not Rap1-GDP. The only available Rap1 activation assay kit directly measures the level of Rap1-GTP. Providing shorter experimental time. Could be used to monitor the activation of Rap1 in cells and in tissues by immunohistochemistry. Protein function: Induces morphological reversion of a cell line transformed by a Ras oncogene. Counteracts the mitogenic function of Ras, at least partly because it can interact with Ras GAPs and RAF in a competitive manner. [The UniProt Consortium]
