Mouse BMPR1A (Bone Morphogenetic Protein Receptor 1A) ELISA (Small Sample Volume)

The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mouse BMPR1A. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Mouse BMPR1A. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Mouse BMPR1A, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Mouse BMPR1A in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve. Protein Function: On ligand binding, forms a receptor complex consisting of two type II and two type I transmembrane serine/threonine kinases. Type II receptors phosphorylate and activate type I receptors which autophosphorylate, then bind and activate SMAD transcriptional regulators. Receptor for BMP2, BMP4, GDF5 and GDF6. Positively regulates chondrocyte differentiation through GDF5 interaction (PubMed:24098149). Mediates induction of adipogenesis by GDF6 (PubMed:23527555). May promote the expression of HAMP, potentially via its interaction with BMP2 (PubMed:31800957) [The Uniprot Consortium]
