Mouse ANXA2 (Annexin A2) ELISA Kit

The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mouse ANXA2. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Mouse ANXA2. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Mouse ANXA2, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Mouse ANXA2 in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve. Protein Function: Calcium-regulated membrane-binding protein whose affinity for calcium is greatly enhanced by anionic phospholipids. It binds two calcium ions with high affinity. May be involved in heat-stress response (By similarity). Inhibits PCSK9-enhanced LDLR degradation, probably reduces PCSK9 protein levels via a translational mechanism but also competes with LDLR for binding with PCSK9 (PubMed:22848640). Binds to endosomes damaged by phagocytosis of particulate wear debris and participates in endosomal membrane stabilization, thereby limiting NLRP3 inflammasome activation (PubMed:22453828).
