Mouse ANGPTL4 (Angiopoietin Like Protein 4) ELISA Kit

The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mouse ANGPTL4. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Mouse ANGPTL4. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Mouse ANGPTL4, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Mouse ANGPTL4 in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve. Protein Function: Mediates inactivation of the lipoprotein lipase LPL, and thereby plays a role in the regulation of triglyceride clearance from the blood serum and in lipid metabolism (PubMed:15837923, PubMed:17609370, PubMed:29899519). May also play a role in regulating glucose homeostasis and insulin sensitivity (PubMed:15837923, PubMed:29899519). Inhibits proliferation, migration, and tubule formation of endothelial cells and reduces vascular leakage (PubMed:14583458, PubMed:17130448, PubMed:21832056). Upon heterologous expression, inhibits the adhesion of endothelial cell to the extracellular matrix (ECM), and inhibits the reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton, formation of actin stress fibers and focal adhesions in endothelial cells that have adhered to ANGPTL4-containing ECM (in vitro) (By similarity).
