Mouse CCL1 also known as T-cell activation protein 3 or TCA-3 is a member of the CC chemokine family. This cytokine is chemotactic for monocytes but not for neutrophils. It acts by binding to the seven transmembrane spanning G-protein-coupled receptor CCR8. CCL1 mediates inflammatory immune responses, viral infections, and tumorigenesis by attracting monocytes, natural killer cells, and immature B-cell nuclear dendritic cells. It has also been shown to chemoattract T-cells, contributing to the inflammatory response through leukocyte recruitment.
