IL-12/IL-23 p40 (Human) Chemiluminescent ELISA Detection Kit

The IL-12/ IL-23 p40 (Human) Chemiluminescent ELISA Detection Kit is a sandwich ELISA designed for detecting and quantifying human interleukin-12/IL-23 (IL-12/IL-23) p40 in cell culture medium. This kit comes with enough capture and detection antibodies, IL-12/IL-23 p40 standard, and detection reagents for 100 or 5 x100 enzyme reactions. Figure 1. IL-12/IL-23 p40 (Human) Chemiluminescent ELISA Detection Kit schematic. A 96-well plate is coated with an anti-IL-12/IL-23 p40 capture antibody. After coating and blocking, samples containing IL-12/-23 p40 are added. Next, unbound IL-12/IL-23 p40 is washed away, and the plate is incubated with biotinylated anti-IL-12/IL-23 p40 detection antibody. After another wash, streptavidin-HRP is added. After a final wash, ELISA ECL substrate is added to produce chemiluminescence that can be measured using a chemiluminescence reader. The chemiluminescence signal is proportional to the amount of IL-12/IL-23 p40 in the samples. The IL12B gene (Interleukin-12 subunit beta) encodes the p40 subunit of the heterodimeric cytokine IL-12, which functions alongside the p35 subunit (encoded by IL-12A). p40 is also part of IL-23, a heterodimeric cytokine composed of p40 and p19 subunits. Anti-p40 antibodies target the p40 subunit common to both IL-12 and IL-23. Il-12 is secreted by activated B lymphocytes and macrophages, while IL-23 is secreted by both macrophages and dendritic cells. The detection of p40 allows a relative assessment of the activation of macrophages, B lymphocytes, and dendritic cells.
