Human TINF2 (TERF1 Interacting Nuclear Factor 2) Microsample ELISA Kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human TINF2. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Human TINF2. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Human TINF2, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Human TINF2 in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.Detection Range: 0.16-10 ng/mL. Sensitivity: 0.073 ng/mL. Assay Type: Sandwich. Standard: 10 ng/mL. Sample Type: sTissue homogenates and other biological fluids.. Assay duration: 3.5h. Protein Function: Component of the shelterin complex (telosome) that is involved in the regulation of telomere length and protection. Shelterin associates with arrays of double-stranded TTAGGG repeats added by telomerase and protects chromosome ends, without its protective activity, telomeres are no longer hidden from the DNA damage surveillance and chromosome ends are inappropriately processed by DNA repair pathways. Plays a role in shelterin complex assembly. Isoform 1 may have additional role in tethering telomeres to the nuclear matrix [The Uniprot Consortium]
