Product information "Human MYH10 (Myosin Heavy Chain 10, Non Muscle) ELISA Kit"
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human MYH10. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Human MYH10. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Human MYH10, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Human MYH10 in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve. Protein Function: Cellular myosin that appears to play a role in cytokinesis, cell shape, and specialized functions such as secretion and capping. Involved with LARP6 in the stabilization of type I collagen mRNAs for CO1A1 and CO1A2. During cell spreading, plays an important role in cytoskeleton reorganization, focal contacts formation (in the central part but not the margins of spreading cells), and lamellipodial extension, this function is mechanically antagonized by MYH9 , (Microbial infection) Acts as a receptor for herpes simplex virus 1/HHV-1 envelope glycoprotein B [The Uniprot Consortium]
