Product information "Human MDC (Macrophage Derived Chemokine) Microsample ELISA Kit"
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human MDC. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Human MDC. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Human MDC, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Human MDC in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.Detection Range: 78.13-5000 pg/mL. Sensitivity: 29 pg/mL. Assay Type: Sandwich. Standard: 5000 pg/mL. Sample Type: sserum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Assay duration: 3.5h. Protein Function: May play a role in the trafficking of activated/effector T-lymphocytes to inflammatory sites and other aspects of activated T-lymphocyte physiology. Chemotactic for monocytes, dendritic cells and natural killer cells. Mild chemoattractant for primary activated T-lymphocytes and a potent chemoattractant for chronically activated T-lymphocytes but has no chemoattractant activity for neutrophils, eosinophils, and resting T-lymphocytes. Binds to CCR4. Processed forms MDC(3-69), MDC(5-69) and MDC(7-69) seem not be active [The Uniprot Consortium]
