Product information "Human LDLR (Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor) Microsample ELISA Kit"
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human LDLR. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Human LDLR. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Human LDLR, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Human LDLR in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.Detection Range: 0.32-20 ng/mL. Sensitivity: 0.11 ng/mL. Assay Type: Sandwich. Standard: 20 ng/mL. Sample Type: stissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. Assay duration: 3.5h. Protein Function: Binds low density lipoprotein /LDL, the major cholesterol-carrying lipoprotein of plasma, and transports it into cells by endocytosis. In order to be internalized, the receptor-ligand complexes must first cluster into clathrin-coated pits. Forms a ternary complex with PGRMC1 and TMEM97 receptors which increases LDLR-mediated LDL internalization (PubMed:30443021) , (Microbial infection) Acts as a receptor for hepatitis C virus in hepatocytes, but not through a direct interaction with viral proteins , (Microbial infection) Acts as a receptor for Vesicular stomatitis virus , (Microbial infection) In case of HIV-1 infection, may function as a receptor for extracellular Tat in neurons, mediating its internalization in uninfected cells , (Microbial infection) Acts as a receptor for Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV) , (Microbial infection) Acts as a receptor for many Alphavirus, including Getah virus (GETV), Ross river virus (RRV) and Semliki Forest virus [The Uniprot Consortium]
