The kit is a Sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of FPN in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Detection Range: 0.31--20ng/mL. Sensitivity: 0.19ng/mL. Protein function: May be involved in iron export from duodenal epithelial cell and also in transfer of iron between maternal and fetal circulation. Mediates iron efflux in the presence of a ferroxidase (hephaestin and/or ceruloplasmin). [The UniProt Consortium]
